Former marine leads the fight for your rights

As a member of the U.S. Marine Corps, Thomas Colter served in Mogadishu, Somalia and went on to instruct at the Marine Corps School of Infantry.  After law school, he began his legal career as an Assistant State Attorney prosecuting misdemeanor and felony cases. Mr. Colter knows the value of loyalty and determination, and he is dedicated to the pursuit of justice.  These are the values he developed early in life, carried through in his military career, and applies daily to each of the firm's clients.

The Stuart Criminal law firm's goal is to give clients the peace of mind that comes from knowing that their cases will be investigated thoroughly and litigated aggressively. Serving clients primarily in St. Lucie, Martin, Indian River, and Okeechobee counties, the firm also has clients who willingly travel to engage Mr. Colter's help in their legal situations.  There is a satellite office in Fort Pierce to better serve clients in that area. 

Evening and weekend appointments are available for the convenience of those who cannot make it to the office during regular business hours.  The first consultation on Stuart criminal defense, and business matters is free.  Legal fees for other types of cases are reasonable, and the firm offers installment payment plans.  Credit cards are accepted.
